For Candlelight, the year 2020, like those that preceded, has been a
busy and productive year. This report is full of how Candlelight worked
in improving livelihoods, empowering communities and building their
resilience to climatic shocks and adversities .
This is a further step in our commitment in addressing some of the
multi-faceted socio-economic disparities that plague our communities.
Looking back, 2020 was not an easy year in terms of fundraising, as
the COVID 19 pandemic continued to squeeze funds available for nonfor-
profits, however, Candlelight management has again shown its
proactivity in cushioning that challenge and ensuring that reasonable
amounts of funding levels comparable to the preceding years are
maintained.
Without the tireless work of the staff and volunteers, the generous
support of the funding partners, and the backing of government and
community representatives, we would not have achieved the program
outputs detailed in this report that impacted the lives of thousands of
beneficiaries.
