#Hafsa_Farah_Saed, a young social activist, midwifery student from New Generation University in Buroa, started her campaign of anti-early age marriage while she was standard five (5) in her primary school. She came across many different objections and challenges as she encourages young girl-students not to marry until they finish their education and make to their lives best living strategies and targets. She is an active member of girl’s forum called (#Talo_Maal) which aims to provide assistant to the needy and poverty-stricken people, mental patient and provide awareness to the community from the deadly effects of tribalism.

“Though, I encountered many hate comments and reactions of my campaign of anti-early age marriage to the student girls, never got disheartenment and despair rather it fueled my ambition and my will to see one day that all the community is with me”. Said Hafsa in university students meeting in #Buroa, held by Candlelight For Environment Education and Health.

Hafsa, promised that she will stand up and shout out to eradicate any gender based violence in the community, especially FGM which she regards as deadly and fatal habit and one of the bad hindrances of girl’s health, which needs to STOP it NOW.

“I want to see all girls in my community are not practiced any type of FGM by their parents and grandparents. My commitment is ZERO tolerance of FGM in my community and my theme is I can do everything regardless the size of drawbacks” added Hafsa during the meeting.
