The Candlelight project team conducted environmental awareness session for target communities in Duruqsi and Bisiqa villages through a project supported by Halo Trust.
The awareness sessions aimed at raising the knowledge towards the importance of environmental protection among participants. During the training, the ecological link between livestock, humans and the environment is highlighted.
The participants are also thought about the impact of the recurrent droughts and its link to deforestation. The role of the communities in preserving the rehabilitated areas through the project is also presented.
