To make sure community receives sustainable clean water with clean sources, Candlelight and OXFAM field team earlier thought to establish water kiosks at mostly populated project target areas where there were no sources of clean water. From that idea, assessment was made whether there are available water pipelines with enough water.
The assessment found out the idea is feasible and water kiosks can be constructed. Then, together the project engineers and technicians from the water agency made BOQ and the work was started. Fortunately, the kiosks with 24 hours available clean water is available to most AWD affected target population in Hodan Qaylo IDP in Burao Togdheer region and hopefully this will be among the major pillars to prevent AWD outbreak.
