The overall goal of the project is to improve the social welfare conditions of pastoral and agro-pastoral communities in the target villages.
Specific Objective :Household income of pastoral and agro-pastoral families in the target areas is increased

Expected Results:
- The productivity of agriculture sector in the target villages is increased
- The alternative livelihoods sources are increased in target communities
- The capacity of the farmers’ co-operatives is improved
- Value addition businesses is increased in target villages
- The livestock productivity is increased in the target villages
- The professionalism capacity of CLHE and ADO staff to manage Food security project is strengthened
Main component Activities :
- Provide continues training sessions on modern agriculture knowledge and practices for 12 community contact persons.
- Construction of Gabions check dumps
- Construction of soil and stone bunds each year in target Villages to reduce soil erosion.
- Rehabilitation shallow wells
