This is an emergency project assisted to drought affected communities in the coastal areas of the three regions of Sahil, Awdal and Marodijex of Somaliland. This emergency project is funded by FCA and implemented by Candlelight.
Project overall goal:
The Overall goal of the project is that the human suffering in the project target areas is reduced and resilience of the pastoral and agro pastoral and other drought affected people in the target areas are strengthened.
Specific Objective :
Short term objective is to increase household income and improve the purchasing power of 1350 households through cash injection for unconditional cash relief and cash for work activities carried out in the project target areas.

The time frame of FCA emergency project:
- 1st phase was started from June to September 2013
- 2nd phase of the project was started From November 2013 to April 2014
The total beneficiaries of this project are 1350 house holod.
